The Self Tape On-Demand Master Class

For the last five years, I've been dedicated to teaching actors in MFA programs, talent agencies and theater companies across the country how to master the technical and on-camera skills needed to crank out gorgeous, studio-quality self tapes consistently and quickly.

I'll walk you through how to put together a self-taping kit that you can set up in less than 15 minutes, and give you a fool-proof step-by-step methodology for the whole process, from set-up to recording and submitting your work.

Self-tape classes usually come in one of two flavors: “technology-based” or “technique-based”. Meaning, it's often either a class focused on helping you overcome the technical hurdles of self-taping, or it focuses primarily on acting or audition techniques to use in your self tape.

My new on-demand self-tape class is about a 60/40 split. 

60% of the course is a thorough and complete deep dive into all the tech you need to know to self-tape like a pro. I’ll walk you through lighting and audio, backdrops, and all the stands, cables and adapters you need to make the right choices for your kit, and I’ll break down each and every piece of the puzzle, explaining not just HOW things work, but WHY. Because when you know why, you’ll be able to solve problems in your particular space with your particular tools.

The other 40% of the class focuses in on YOU. We’ll examine on-camera tips and techniques that will help you loosen up and ground yourself in front of the lens. We’ll talk about framing, sight lines, recording with a reader or without, when to use direct address, and much, much more.
